Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel said Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is a “lot more real” when the cameras aren’t rolling for a YouTube video.

Over the years, plenty of content creators have had different personas for when they’re on-camera versus when they’re off-camera. Some have opted to keep their real identity away from the spotlight, used a mask to not show their face, or just turned their personality up whenever the spotlight is on them.

As the most successful YouTuber around, MrBeast has had to juggle that as well. He is ultra-positive and entertaining when the camera is on him, which has led him to become the most-subscribed-to creator out there.

However, according to xQc, Jimmy can be a little “more real” when the cameras are on, as evidenced by their Kick stream together.

xQc says MrBeast is “more real” away from cameras

“MrBeast is way different off-camera than when he’s on-camera,” the Canadian streaming star said about the YouTuber during his December 2 stream.

“It’s the part of you that’s entertainment, or whatever. That goes away to a certain degree. Thats not the point, though, the point is that the creation is an extension of you, and that cannot be one-to-one.

“He is a lot more real, but if he was more real in his videos, most of the time people would cancel him for no reason, it’d be a liability, people would be losing their jobs at his company because they would have to downsize because of the backlash for his own behaviour.”
