YouTube: Outdoor BoysOutdoor Boys’ Luke Nichols has revealed that he has projects he’d still like to finish despite uploading his ‘final’ YouTube videos in the last few weeks.
Back in May, Luke Nichols, better known on YouTube as the host of the Outdoor Boys channel, announced that he would be retiring from videos before the end of 2025. Nichols said that he’d like for him and his family to “live normal lives,” and that wouldn’t be possible if he continued with YouTube.
“The sheer volume of fans trying to contact me, trying to take pictures with me, or just trying to come up to me and talk in public can be a bit overwhelming at times. My wife and I, we both have real concerns about what this will do to our family if I keep growing my YouTube channel at this pace,” he said.
Fast forward to November, and Nichols announced that he still had three videos to upload to the Outdoor Boys channel, but didn’t have any regrets about retiring.
Outdoor BoysOutdoor Boys might return to YouTube in 2026
He did, however, leave the door open to making a return at some point down the line, finishing one of his videos with a message about posting again in the future. That was a slight mistake, but he does have unfinished projects.
“Maybe, at some point. I have a couple of projects for the off-grid homestead. I might have to finish that up and wrap that up,” Nichols said on the MyLifeOutdoors channel, noting his mistake in the last video.

The YouTube star has also filled in for his friend, Steven from MyLifeOutdoors, to help fill in while Steven deals with some family health issues.
Nichols’ post-YouTube future has been revealed, as he has been appointed to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Young Men General Advisory Council. He started in that role on December 1.
