Mystery Gifts guide

Mystery Gifts are easy to miss in Pokemon Legends Z-A, as the feature doesn’t appear until about an hour into the game – and even then, it’s tucked away behind a few layers of menus.

So if you’re wondering where your free Ralts or Poke Ball packs are hiding, here’s exactly how to unlock Mystery Gifts and redeem your rewards.

Active Mystery Gifts: Pokemon Legends Z-A (December 2025)

There are 4 redeemable Mystery Gift codes available in the game, and a few digital bonuses provided depending on how and what you’ve purchased for Z-A:

Note: Each code can only be used once per save file, but you can redeem as many unique codes as you want.

Unlocking the Mystery Gift feature

You’ll only gain access to Mystery Gifts after completing Main Mission 3: A New Life in Lumiose City.

This happens roughly an hour into Pokemon Legends Z-A, once you’ve caught five species and spoken to Mable on the third floor of the Research Lab. After that scene, a new “Link Play” option will appear in your main menu, as shown in the image below:

Once unlocked, the Mystery Gift menu will update automatically whenever new rewards are added to Pokemon Legends Z-A.

How to claim Mystery Gifts

• Press X to open the main menu.
• Select Link Play.
• Choose Mystery Gift.
• Pick Get via Internet or Get with Code/Password.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to receive your reward.

An internet connection is required, but you don’t need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. If you are using a serial code, enter it exactly as shown in your email or card.
