How To Reset Donut Powers

Donut Powers in Pokemon Legends Z-A are random, influenced only by the flavor of Hyper Berries used, but no recipes guarantee a specific power. This means if you’re trying to use Sweet berries to roll a Shiny Power donut, there’s a chance you’ll get a Humungo, Teensy, or Alpha Donut instead.

To make matters worse, Pokemon Legends Z-A auto saves right after a donut is made, meaning players can’t soft reset like normal in order to roll a new donut. Instead, you will have to load into a backup save to try again. Here is how it is done:

How to reset donut powers with backup saves

To reset a donut, first fast travel to any Pokemon Center. When you fast travel to a Pokemon Center, the game auto saves. However, it’s different than other auto saves as this one is used as your latest backup.

Follow the steps below to reset donuts:

• Step 1: Fast Travel to a Pokemon Center (To create a backup save)
• Step 2: Make any Donut
• Step 3: Close out of the game (press Home Button and shut game off) and launch it again
• Step 4: On the title screen, press Up on the d-pad, X, and B at the same time
• Step 5: Load into your backup save
• Step 6: Repeat steps 2-5 until you have your desired donut powers

This method will not consume any of the berries you use until you find the desired donut.

This setup can also be performed to reset Hyperspace Wild Zones. Just visit a Pokemon Center before entering a Wild Zone, and load into your backup save if you aren’t satisfied with how your run went.
