How to get Raichunite Y

Raichunite Y is a special item needed to Mega Evolve Raichu into Mega Raichu Y in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

Where to find Raichunite Y

You need to use the map below to find the location of a sidequest inside the shopping mall called Passaga du Palais (the side quest is called The Dauntless Raichu Duo, but that will only appear at the end). You need to go inside a hyperspace portal and you need a donut to get access to it. From there, go towards Lumiose musuem when inside hyperspace.

In the side quest, you have to fight both of the Mega Raichu’s in a double battle and then you will be rewarded with the Raichunite Y item.

How to use Raichunite Y

Once you get your Raichunite Y, you can give it to any Raichu as a Held Item, allowing that specific Pokémon to Mega Evolve into Mega Raichu Y during battle.

If you’re not sure how to give a Held Item to a Pokémon, follow these steps:

• Open the main menu.
• Go to your Boxes.
• Find the Raichu you want to attach the Mega Stone to.
• Tap on it and select “Give an item to hold”.
• Move to the Mega Stones tab and look for Raichunite Y.
• Tap it and select “Give to Pokémon”.
• Your Raichu is now holding the Mega Stone!

Now, whenever you take that Raichu into battle, you’ll be able to Mega Evolve it into Mega Raichu Y.
