Best contract expiry players in EA FC 26 Career Mode
Contract talks have been revamped in EA FC 26, meaning players will be leaving for nothing (or very little) more often in this year’s game.
An example of this is Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move from Liverpool to Real Madrid, with the player leaving for a small fee despite his rise to prominence as a Champions League-winning defender.
We’ve looked up expiring transfers using Transfermarkt.com to help identify some players that could be keen on a move when their current deal expires.

How to sign a contract expiry player
If there’s a player on the contract expiry list you want to sign, you need to enquire about the player in the game and hope that the club hasn’t yet tied them down:
- Load up your Career save in Career Mode.
- Go to the Transfer Center.
- Search for the player on the list – if you are in the January window.
- Approach to sign them.
- Get the deal done.
This process allows you to skip over the club, agree terms with the player, and then they will join your squad at the end of the next season as a free contract.
