Ranked Play

Treyarch has confirmed that Ranked Play is coming to Black Ops 7 after launch, once again giving fans a competitive mode to grind and earn rewards from.

When is Black Ops 7 Ranked Play released?

Ranked Play arrives with the Black Ops 7 Season 2 update, which we expect to arrive on Thursday, February 6, 2026.

This is when Season 1 is scheduled to end, according to the in-game Battle Pass timer, making it the most likely date. However, we’ll need to wait for the devs to confirm the start date nearer to the time.

We’ll be sure to update this page with a confirmed date as soon as we know more.

What is Ranked Play?

Ranked Play is a competitive mode that mimics the rules and format of the CDL, Call of Duty’s esports league. Matches are 4v4, and the list of available maps and weapons is drastically reduced to only include those that are best suited.

There are also significantly fewer modes, with only Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control in rotation. The aim is to level the playing field so that you can’t rely on an overpowered gun or camping spot to win, instead making a battle of skill.

Each win grants you SR, which in turn lets you climb up the divisions to play against tougher opponents and earn rewards. These include camos for your weapons and skins for your Operators.

Once the mode is live, we’ll update this page with a full breakdown of all the ranks, rewards, and how it works.
