Loudness equalization is an incredibly useful setting to enable, as it dulls the loudest sounds and boosts the quietest. For Black Ops 7, this means that explosions won’t be as piercingly loud, while footsteps will be much clearer.

Unfortunately, console players on Xbox and PlayStation don’t have this option, but if you’re on PC, it can make a huge difference.

How to use Audio Focus on PS5

  1. Head into the settings menu.
  2. Go to ‘Sound.’
  3. Select ‘Volume.’
  4. Under ‘Accessibility,’ click ‘Audio Focus’
  5. Enable Audio Focus.
  6. Under ‘Focus Type,’ choose ‘Boost High Pitch.’

Audio Focus is a PS5-exclusive feature that is ideal for Black Ops 7, as it makes audio much clearer when using headphones and prioritizes sounds you need to hear. With this enabled, especially if you Boost High Pitch, you should have no trouble listening out for footsteps and other cues.
