Battlefield 6 Guides

Best SMGs

SMGs are perfect for close-quarters fights in Battlefield 6, especially on more compact game modes or smaller maps.

But, as always, not every weapon is made equally, and while every gun is viable in the right circumstances, there are some that stand head and shoulders above the rest. So, we’ve put together the meta SMGs that you need to use.

Meta SMGs in Battlefield 6

USG-90

USG-90 in Battlefield 6

Resembling the P90, the USG-90 doesn’t come with the versatility that other SMGs might offer, but it makes up for it with a dizzying fire rate. Despite low base damage, the speed with which it lands shots gives it an impressive TTK.

The lack of range and power make it a higher skill gap gun, but it’s well worth learning to get the best of it. To help keep it on target, here are the ideal attachments.

SGX

SGX in battlefield 6

The SGX is the first SMG you get your hands on in Battlefield 6, but that doesn’t mean you should discard it as soon as you unlock newer weapons. When it comes to close-quarters fights, it’s very reliable, easy to use, and packs a mean punch.

Its TTK isn’t quite as insane as some of the other options on this list, but its low recoil makes it competitive in mid-range encounters, too. Check out the best SGX loadout to get the most out of it.

PW7A2

The PW7A2 blends the rapid fire rate of the USG-90 with a surprising amount of range, making it the perfect choice for those close-mid battles. With the right loadout, you can blow enemies if they push you, or just sit back and gun them down from a vantage point.

However, the caveat is that this fire rate makes it trickier to control, so landing shots consistently is more challenging.

SCW-10

SCW-10 in Battlefield 6

Don’t be fooled by its small size; the SCW-10 is an absolute problem in Battlefield 6. It has an incredible time-to-kill, deleting enemies in the blink of an eye before they even have time to react.

If you tend to stick to smaller modes or prefer to get into the action and clear builds or objectives, there are few better weapons. This power does come at the cost of range and accuracy though, which is the only reason it’s not number one.

PW5A3

PW5A3 in Battlefield 6

It’s still early days in Battlefield 6, but the PW5A3, also known as the MP5, has emerged as the best SMG in the game so far. The reason behind its dominance is its sheer versatility, as it kills fast at both close and mid-range, making it the perfect jack-of-all-trades SMG.

Sure, there are other guns on this list with flashier stats, but with this, you’ll never be at a disadvantage if you play to its strengths, giving you a better chance of winning fights consistently. It’s powerful, has low recoil, and great mobility — a must-use.
