You can no longer get into lobbies with bots only, as Portal games with bots require eight real players to start. When bots do join, you’ll get reduced XP against them.
Can you use Portal codes to farm XP?
You can no longer use Portal to farm XP in Battlefield 6. At launch, given how slow progression was, many fans resorted to custom lobbies to earn XP and level up their guns, but this has been nerfed into the ground after too many players relied on it.
If the lobby contains bots, it now only grants XP for completing the match, and kills don’t count towards challenges. So, while you still get a reward for spending the time, it’s no longer an alternative to playing normal matches.
Portal experiences without bots can still be used for challenges, but any bot lobbies don’t count.
How to set up custom Portal server against bots
- Head to the Community tab.
- Hit ‘Search Experiences.’
- Either search for the experience name or the experience code.
- Click on the experience, then hit ‘Host.’
- Enter a password to stop other players from joining.
- Click ‘Host.’
- If you get the ‘Global Game Quote Exceeded‘ error, keep hitting Host.
