While most are viable, each one does have some strengths and weaknesses that need to be considered. So, we’ve picked out the best Assault Rifles to help you dominate matches.

5. AK4D

Narrowly missing out on the top spot is the AK4D, which combines the range of the SOR-556 with exceptional damage. In the right hands, it can melt through enemy teams without ever having to step into the same room.

The only reason it isn’t number one is that its slow fire rate means it can get caught out if a player pushes you into a close-range fight, but it’s a top-tier Assault Rifle that shouldn’t be overlooked.

4. SOR-556 MK2

If you’re someone who likes to sit back and gun down enemies from a distance, you can’t do much better than the SOR-556 MK2. It’s laser-accurate, making it a breeze to hit headshots from absurd distances before the opposition knows what to do.

The only slight drawback is that this accuracy comes at the cost of damage, which is the only reason it finds itself this low down. While there is one long-range rifle that has it beat, it’s still deadly with the right loadout.

3. M433

EA

The M433 might be the first Assault Rifle available to you in BF6, but that doesn’t mean you should rule it out. Its fast fire rate is ideal for close-range fights, and it’s very competitive at mid ranges once you unlock some attachments to keep it steady.

Plus, given that it’s the default AR and weapon levelling is relatively slow, it’s a great option to pour your time into early on while you unlock some of the options higher up this list.

2. B36A4

You never know which direction a Battlefield 6 match is going to take you, so it can be hard to know what to prepare for. That’s where the B36A4 comes in; a great jack-of-all-trades weapon that can be tailored for both close and long range.

You could argue that it doesn’t really excel in any one category, but it also means you’re never outgunned, whether you’re facing an LMG or an SMG.

1. NVO-228E

EA

The NVO-228E is comfortably the best Assault Rifle in Battlefield 6 right now, largely due to its sheer power. It kills extremely fast if you’re hitting your shots, and you’ll be able to rack up kills before the enemy team even has time to counter.

Its recoil can be a little tricky to control, but once you’ve used it enough to unlock the attachments above, it handles like a dream. It takes a while to unlock, but it’s well worth the wait.
