Streamer Quvonn Rakai Linder has been hit with a suspension on Twitch, with the official reason given as “illegal activities.” Despite initially appearing as a two-year ban, Twitch has since confirmed that’s not the case.
One of the fastest-rising content creators of 2025, 17-year-old RaKai has landed himself in trouble, resulting in another ban on Twitch.
RaKai boasts over 1.8 million followers on the platform, and regularly streams to thousands of viewers. His account is now unavailable, although the exact cause of the ban is still unknown.
Initially, the ban appeared to be for a two-year duration, however, Twitch has clarified that isn’t actually the case, and was merely a “visual bug.”
RaKai banned on Twitch after Fortnite wager with Clix
The first thread to pull stems from a competition with Fortnite personality Clix. RaKai was gifted a 99-0 lead, yet still lost, and as such, had to pay up an agreed-upon sum of $6,500 USD. RaKai refused to pay Clix though after the match concluded.
Clix frequently runs these wagers, flexing his Fortnite skills as he secures 100 kills in a row over other popular personalities. On December 2, it was RaKai in the hot seat, and the pair agreed on a $6,500 wager.
Upon losing, having died 100 times in a row without getting a kill, Clix had secured the victory royale. However, RaKai refused to pay up. “Guess who not getting they money?” he said. “You, you ugly b****h. F*** you,” he yelled.
Soon after, RaKai’s stream was banned. On X, he shared an image of his ban for “Illegal Activities” on his Twitch account.
The other possibility came 24 hours prior, when RaKai streamed himself handing flowers to a bystander without paying.

“Did you already pay for them?” The woman asked. “Yes I did,” RaKai replied without hesitation.
This incident follows a similar Twitch ban as Nina Lin was suspended from after stealing from Target while streaming.
RaKai banned on Twitch, but not for two years
Upon noticing his ban, RaKai shared an image of his appeals portal. Here, a message displayed a 730-day suspension, ending on December 2, 2027.
Soon after we shared the news on our Dexerto X account, however, Twitch replied to clarify the situation. As it turns out, the two-year warning was actually a “visual bug,” and not the accurate suspension period.
“Our teams are working to fix this issue, but we know from our investigation that other creators aren’t experiencing this error,” Twitch confirmed.
“This isolated issue didn’t impact his email notification, and we’ve confirmed that the email the creator received did include the correct suspension length. We’ve also clarified this with the creator directly.”
This suspension marks the sixth time his account has been banned for violating the community guidelines.
Back in June, the 17-year-old was banned after streaming himself driving while regularly looking down at his phone.
Others, like Adin Ross, have managed to overturn long-running bans on Twitch. Only time will tell if RaKai is able to do the same or if he’ll continue his streaming career elsewhere.
