QTCinderella taking legal action against Polymarket over Streamer Awards betting

QTCinderella

QTCinderella has hit out at gambling websites for offering markets on The Streamer Awards, revealing that her lawyers have been in contact.

For years, streamers and content creators complained that they weren’t properly represented at end-of-year award shows. A streamer of the year or YouTuber of the year award has been tacked on to some shows, but the nominees end up causing backlash.

For the last few years, QTCinderella has run The Streamer Awards, celebrating the previous year of Twitch creators. The 2025 edition of the show is being held on December 6, but there has been some criticism already with regard to the nominees.

With the nominees being fan-voted, predictions from viewers and other creators play a big role in the show. However, this year, gambling websites Polymarket and Kalshi have opened up markets so that they can put their money where their mouth is.

QT was alerted to that fact during a recent stream, and wasn’t best pleased with the fact. “We have sent them a cease and desist, but thank you for coming into chat and accusing me of things,” she said, replying to one fan who claimed she is “insider trading” with them.

“I would like to make this very clear: I am in no way associated with that website, and I am in no way condoning that website. I have no association with them, I do not. In fact, my lawyers are talking to their lawyers because I am not happy about that. I want you guys to know that.”

“I, intentionally, do not want to be associated with that website, and I am not happy that they put my IP on their website without the consent of any of the participating parties. That is not ok in any way,” she continued.

It remains to be seen if QT will get the markets removed, but as she said, there are legal teams involved now.
