Instagram/n.nina666Streamer Nina Lin has pushed back against claims that she’s been permanently banned on Twitch, but the platform’s own messaging has fueled speculation that her suspension could be indefinite.
On November 30, footage from Lin’s Twitch stream went viral after showing her stealing items at a Target self-checkout. In the clip, she scanned cheaper goods while taking more expensive items, including steaks, without paying full price.
After viewers called her out, Lin admitted to the theft and brushed it off, claiming Target “isn’t losing money.” She then held up a pair of boots from the store and asked her chat to guess how much she paid, answering “$3.99” to imply she scanned a different item instead.
The incident led to Lin being banned from Twitch for the third time in just a matter of weeks after previously being suspended for resurfaced “assault” clips. Since then, she has not returned to the platform.
Instagram/nina666Is Nina Lin actually permabanned on Twitch?
On December 18, posts began circulating online claiming that Lin’s ban was permanent and that she would never be allowed back on Twitch. Lin quickly denied those claims on Instagram.
“Ain’t no way MFs making sh*t up now,” she wrote, accusing people of being “obsessed” with her and insisting she would return. She also teased the idea of making a full trailer for her comeback.
Lin followed that up with another post saying, “Wait til I’m back. Can’t wait for them to be mad,” while asking fans to send her posts about the alleged permaban.
Instagram/n.nina666Twitch does not comment on individual enforcement actions, but the wording on Lin’s channel has raised eyebrows. When attempting to visit her page, users are met with the message: “This channel is currently unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

That specific notice is often associated with indefinite bans. Dr Disrespect’s channel, for example, displays the same message word-for-word.
By contrast, suspended streamers like Rakai currently show a different notice that reads: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”
Twitch has never publicly explained the difference between these messages, leaving Lin’s status unclear. For now, there is no confirmation on when, or if, Nina Lin will be allowed back on the Amazon-owned platform.
