Twitch: India LoveTwitch streamer India Love has apologized for her controversial moment at The Streamer Awards after she took to the stage to dispute the winner of the breakout streamer award.
The 2025 edition of The Streamer Awards was held on December 6, as QTCinderella’s annual show celebrated some of the best moments from creators over the last 12 months. Kai Cenat swept up following Mafiathon 3, IShowSpeed won Streamer of the Year, and BurntPeanut took home VTuber of the year – despite some members of the VTubing community disagreeing that.
Streamer India Love caused controversy during the show, taking to the stage after FaZe Adapt had won the award for breakout streamer of the year.
“Breakout streamer of the year went to Adapt and congratulations and we respect you for what you did but Rakai should have won breakout streamer of the year and DDG, I don’t care what y’all say,” she said, before being booed by attendees and walking off stage.
India Love apologizes over Streamer Awards takeover
The streamer was called “disrespectful” by FaZe’s Kaysan, with many others comparing it to Kanye West’s infamous moment with Taylor Swift at the VMAs.
Love has since apologized for her actions, admitting to being “selfish” with it. “I want to apologize to QT. First of all, I appreciate you inviting me, and there is no excuse for my behavior. It was very distasteful, very unnecessary. It was my initial emotional response, and I had no business being on that stage,” she said on stream.
“I want to apologize to Adapt. There was no reason or excuse for dimming your light in the moment. What I did was very selfish and inconsiderate. I wasn’t considering anybody else’s thoughts, just my own and being impulsive. I took away from your moment and I am, deeply, apologetic for that.”

She had noted that she is “ok” showing off the “ups and downs” of life immediately after the show.
Love has also promised to try to stop drinking by the start of January, apologizing to fans and her team for her behavior while intoxicated.
