Tiffany gives best response after Stranger Things Season 5 song goes viral

Pop star Tiffany grinning on her record cover.

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 makes fun use of a pop classic from the 1980s, and singer Tiffany has been responding to her song’s inclusion.

Stranger Things is set in the 1980s, and show creators the Duffer Brothers have filled the series with great songs from that era.

Kate Bush classic ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)‘ was utilized brilliantly during Season 4, while Eddie Munson injected a healthy dose of heavy metal into proceedings during his brief run on the show.

Tiffany says Stranger Things scene “gave me goosebumps”

Holly Wheeler is kidnapped at the start of Episode 2 of Stranger Things Season 5, with Vecna – whom she believes to be a friend called Mr. Watsit – taking her to a house for “safety.”

To keep his new prisoner happy, Vecna buys her a tape player and Tiffany cassette, which she loves. Then while she’s ‘home alone,’ Holly sticks the tape on, and dances around to 1987 mega-hit ‘I Think We’re Alone Now.’

Tiffany herself has since responded to the sequence in question, writing on Twitter/X: “Awesome to hear your song on your favorite TV series. Gave me goosebumps. Alone now in the Upside Down.”

And much like ‘Running Up That Hill’ received a new lease of life when it dropped in Stranger Things, so Tiffany’s tune is going viral.

The music video for ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ has been on YouTube for 14 years, but in the last few hours, there’s been an influx of new comments.

“I came here because of Stranger Things,” wrote one, underneath the comment: “Stranger Things hype train is about to start I’m all in for it.”

Another said: “Stranger things Season 5 Episode 3 ending brought me here again!” While in terms of the twisted storyline playing out onscreen, someone added: “Holly was vibing with being kidnapped fr.”

That Kate Bush needle drop resulted in ‘Running Up That Hill’ flying up the streaming charts, so don’t be surprised to see the same happen to Tiffany’s banger in the next few days.
