NetflixTickets to go and see the Stranger Things Season 5 finale at the cinema are officially going on sale in the US and Canada today, but you’ll have to be quick if you want to secure your seat.
There was much talk about whether the last ever episode of the hit Netflix series would get a theatrical release, with the Duffer brothers and Netflix execs shutting down the idea earlier this year.
However, this idea has been turned Upside Down, as Netflix has since announced that cinema screenings of the final episode will be taking place at the same time as the streaming debut.
Episode 8, ‘The Rightside Up’, will be playing in more than 500 theaters in the US and Canada (bumped up from 350) starting on December 31, 2025 at 5pm PT – which is exactly when it lands on Netflix – and will be running through to January 1, 2026.

Although tickets aren’t officially on sale, you can now reserve your seat via a concession voucher, as of 8am PT / 11am ET today (December 2). Your best bet is heading to the official Stranger Things Season 5 finale screening website here.
Previously, fans were left confused when it appeared you could buy tickets in the US via Regal Cinemas, as when they “secured” their seat, they were only able to buy a concessions voucher.
