NetflixAfter weeks of games, tests, and emotional turmoil, the winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 has been revealed, meaning one lucky contestant has bagged that whopping $4.56 million prize.
The Netflix competition series is similar to the original Squid Game, in that 456 players battle it out in a series of high-stakes children’s games. In this version, of course, no one dies if they’re eliminated – instead, an ink squib is activated and they’re sent home.
Season 2 has been just as action-packed as the first, kicking off proceedings by cutting the contestant pool in half with a counting game. There have been a series of new tests and challenges, as well as some classics (Mingle got so intense that it ended with a mutiny).
Every step has led to this moment: one single contestant being crowned the winner. Although we had our predictions of who might take home the gold, no one could know for certain… until now. Warning: Spoilers ahead!
Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 winner
NetflixThe winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 and the $4.56 million prize is Player 72, Perla Figuereo. She’s the second ever winner of the Netflix series, following on from Season 1’s Mai Whelan.
Alongside Perla, there were four other remaining contestants heading into the finale, including Player 302 (Dajah), Player 183 (Steven), Player 398 (Trinity), and Player 17 (Agnes). However, not everyone makes it to the final game.
During an intense dinner party, another test unfolds, resulting in Trinity’s elimination. The remaining four contestants then advance to the final challenge, and the series comes full circle with the return of Red Light, Green Light.

Netflix“Something’s wrong. I felt a pop,” she says. “This is gonna haunt me forever. For the rest of my life, I’ll never know if I could’ve won… it is devastating.”
Of course, due to the movement, Dajah is eliminated, leaving just Perla. When the doll turns around, she’s able to pass the finish line, making her the winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2.
Like Seong Gi-hun, Perla is gifted a gold card, giving her access to a bank account filled with $4.56 million. “Now I can take care of my family,” she says in the finale. “I can breathe now. Money is not going to be a worry, and that is just something I’ve never been used to.
“I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now, to be honest.” We then see Perla reunite with her family, including her brother and fellow contestant Jeffrey Figuereo, aka Player 283.
