NetflixThe Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 finale has landed on Netflix, with 456 players now whittled down to just one winner of a whopping $4.56 million prize. So you can stay up to date, we’ve broken down the results of each game.
Much like Squid Game, the reality TV spinoff sees contestants battle it out in a series of high-stakes children’s games (of course, in this version, no one actually dies – an ink squib is activated instead).
In Season 2, we’ll see the real-life versions of games like Mingle, the Six-Legged Pentathlon, and Marbles, but there are also some new challenges to enjoy (Slides and Ladders is an intense update on the classic board game) and tests in between the main rounds.
Below, we’ve broken down the results of each game and test, including how many players are sent home and who won the cash prize. Warning: spoilers ahead!
Game 1: The Count
Netflix- Players eliminated: 227
- Players remaining: 229
The Count is the first game, offering up a new way to eliminate half of the player pool without another round of Red Light, Green Light. All 456 contestants are divided into two groups – O’s and X’s – and placed into separate rooms, but only one side will survive.
Twin brothers Player 431 (Raul) and Player 432 (Jacob) volunteer as captains, initially not knowing they’ll be separated. Each room is then asked to work together to estimate when 456 seconds have passed and press a button at that exact moment.
The room that comes closest to the correct time will remain in the game, while the other will be eliminated. Each group chose a leader to manage the countdown:
- O’s: led by Player 205 (Ida), a nurse who relies on her medical timing instincts
- X’s: led by Player 89 (Michael), a musician with a strong sense of rhythm
The results are as follows:
- Winning team: X’s – 2 seconds out
- Eliminated team: O’s – 12 seconds out
However, because Player 431 volunteered, he’s granted immunity and allowed to remain in the game.

Test 1
Netflix- Players eliminated: 5 (2 self-eliminated)
- Players remaining: 224
There’s a catch to Player 431’s survival: he has to secretly eliminate three players within one hour – or both twins will be sent home. To eliminate someone, he has to approach them, say their number, and tell them, “Good luck in the game.”
They end up selecting the following contestants to eliminate:
- Jackie (Player 107)
- Bryce (Player 285)
- Blake (Player 286)
Since Player 431 completes the mission successfully, the brothers get to continue in the game.
But why are there only 224 players left instead of 226? Well, sources also told Parade that before the next game started, two players chose to self-eliminate due to personal reasons, bringing the total from 226 to 224.
Cash prize amount after Test 1: $2.32 million
Game 2: Six-Legged Pentathlon
Netflix- Players eliminated: 112
- Players remaining: 112
The second challenge, Six-Legged Pentathlon, takes inspiration from the Squid Game Season 3 montage. Players are divided into groups of 10 (with some smaller groups to balance numbers).
Each large group is then split into two competing sub-teams of five (or four) players, with the iconic Pink Guards tying the team members’ legs together to form six-legged units. Each team must complete a relay-style race around a track, stopping at every checkpoint for one contestant to finish a mini-game.
They must successfully complete the game before moving to the next checkpoint. The mini-challenges are as follows: Ball in a Cup, Flying Stone, Gonggi, House of Cards, and Jegi.
The difference to the Netflix series is that there’s no timer. Instead, the first team to complete all five mini-games and reach the finish line advances, while the losing team is immediately eliminated. This again cuts the contestant pool by half.
Cash prize amount after Game 2: $3.44 million
Test 2
Netflix- Players eliminated: 5
- Players remaining: 107
In Test 2, the players who were slowest in their mini-games must make their way to the stage. They are as follows:
- Ball in a Cup – Player 180 (Jorell)
- Flying Stone – Player 89 (Michael)
- Gonggi – Player 40 (Erik)
- House of Cards – Player 344 (Chris)
- Jegi – Player 289 (Sian)
The remaining contestants are presented with two buttons: if they wish to save them, they must press “O”, if they wish to eliminate them, they’ll press “X”. The majority vote (by a long shot) is to eliminate them, meaning all five are sent home.
Following this test, the Pink Guards reveal that out of 226 players after the first challenge, 119 have been eliminated. But half of the players (113) from Game 2 and five more from this test amounts to 118, meaning one contestant isn’t accounted for.
However, as we found out in Season 1, the cast have the option to self-eliminate off screen, so even though it’s not shown or confirmed, we can assume this occurred with one player.
Cash prize amount after Test 2: $3.49 million
Game 3: Catch
Netflix- Players eliminated: 33
- Players remaining: 74
For the third round, contestants face a team-based elimination game called Catch. Players must first divide themselves evenly into four color groups – purple, yellow, pink, and blue – each containing 26 players.
However, with 107 players in total, the math doesn’t quite add up. Three contestants – Player 82 (Heath), Player 111 (August), and Player 118 (Jonti) – decide to take a gamble by not joining any team.
Their risk earns them a pass to the next round without playing, but with one crucial condition: they must each select another player to compete on their behalf. If their chosen player is eliminated, they will also be sent home.
Their picks are as follows:
- Player 82 (Heath) chooses Player 383 (Emily)
- Player 111 (August) chooses Player 437 (Karim)
- Player 118 (Jonti) chooses Player 152 (Viper)
NetflixThe game takes place on a court with a circle in the center and four dotted lines extending from each corner – one for each team color. A designated thrower stands in the middle and throws the ball to a player at the front of one of the lines.
If the ball is caught, the catcher survives, and the catcher becomes the next thrower. If the ball is dropped, both the catcher and thrower are immediately eliminated.
Teams have an allotted time to decide the order of their players. The game continues until 16 balls have been dropped, and any remaining players automatically advance once the final ball drops.
Players who are eliminated in Catch include:
- Player 97 (Sean)
- Player 351 (Debby)
- Player 272 (Ryan)
- Player 264 (Ram)

- Player 71 (Olga)

Test 3
Netflix- Players eliminated: 2
- Players remaining: 72
For this test, a Russian doll is placed in the dorm, with the instruction not to touch it until they hear it sing. Just one person can open it first, and inside, there’s either a trick, a treat, or nothing at all. They must then choose the next player to pass it to. The order and outcomes are as follows:
- Player 153 (Austin): Disadvantage in the next game
- Player 417 (Greg): Nothing
- Player 410 (Isaiah): A cake
- Player 75 (Natalie): 10 coins
- Player 303 (Chelly): Immunity until the end of the next game
Natalie’s 10 coins must be used on the vending machine, but there’s a cruel twist: she has to spend it on an elimination, choosing one player to send home. She selects Player 80 (Ashley), who is immediately eliminated.
Finally, Player 98 (Matthew) opens the last doll, which forces him to nominate another contestant to be up for elimination. The rest of the group must then vote to decide who stays. Player 98 chooses Player 431 (Raul) as his opponent.
Voting results:
- Player 98: 55 votes – survives
- Player 431: 16 votes – eliminated
Cash prize amount after Test 3: $3.84 million
Game 4: Mingle
Netflix- Players eliminated: 28
- Players remaining: 44
If you watched Squid Game Season 3, you’ll know that Mingle is a fast-paced social test that puts both communication, friendships, and quick thinking to the test. Players stand on a moving merry-go-round, and when the music stops, they’re given a specific number.
They must then form a group matching that number and run into one of the numbered rooms before the timer runs out. Anyone who joins a group with the wrong number or fails to find a group in time is immediately eliminated.

NetflixIn Mingle, we’re shown a total of 27 eliminations, but 42 players are left on the platform, so where are the other three who bring the total to 44?
Firstly, Player 303 (Chelly) earned immunity during the doll test, but an insider also told Parade that she got to choose a friend, which wasn’t shown on screen.
This means one elimination was either not shown on screen or the player left of their own accord. As such, 44 players in total make it to the final round.
Once Mingle is up, the remaining players include:
- Player 86
- Player 183
- Player 98

Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 Part 2 kicks off with the show’s most emotional challenge: Marbles. Having already unwittingly paired up in Mingle, they now must face their teammate, knowing one of them will be going home.

Test 4
Netflix- Players eliminated: 4
- Players remaining: 18
Three players are unexpectedly promoted to Monitors in the dorm, giving them special privileges – but also a secret burden.
Chosen Monitors:
- Player 410 (Isiah)
- Player 327 (Kate)
- Player 230 (Max)
They’re rewarded with luxury bedding and breakfast, but are later taken to a private room by the Pink Guards. There, a black box awaits, and they must choose three contestants to put at risk of elimination.
They choose:
- Player 437 (Karim)
- Player 417 (Greg)
- Player 98 (Matthew)
The twist? The Monitors are also in danger. The two groups are placed in separate rooms, and the first person from either group to place their number patch into the black box will save their teammates and eliminate everyone in the other room – but by doing so, they also sacrifice themselves.
Player 230 (Max) is the first to sacrifice himself, meaning the following four are eliminated:
- Player 230 (Max)
- Player 437 (Karim)
- Player 417 (Greg)
- Player 98 (Matthew)
Cash prize amount after Test 4: $4.38 million
Test 5

With one Monitor gone, Players 410 (Isiah) and 327 (Kate) must choose a replacement. They select Player 409 (Claire) as the new third Monitor.
However, there’s a cruel twist: she must use a ten-coin token to eliminate one contestant of her choice. In a shocking move, she chooses Player 410 (Isiah), her fellow Monitor, who is immediately eliminated.
Cash prize amount after Test 5: $4.39 million
Game 6: Slides and Ladders
Netflix- Players eliminated: 6
- Players remaining: 11
In this life-size version of Snakes and Ladders, contestants pair up to move across a massive board filled with twists and deadly drops. The Monitors, Players 327 and 409, are tasked with forming the teams. They choose:
- Red Team: Players 402 and 183
- Yellow Team: Players 72 and 369
- Pink Team: Players 412 and 327
- Green Team: Players 302 and 361
- Purple Team: Players 110 and 409
- Orange Team: Players 383 and 378
- Light Blue Team: Players 451 and 398
- Dark Blue Team: Players 318 and 17
Player 346 (Drake) isn’t picked and is told he can swap with any contestant. He takes Player 398’s (Trinity) spot, who is sent to wait outside.
The rules are simple but brutal: roll the dice, move your marker, and climb ladders when lucky. But land on a slide and you risk elimination: only one of the two slide routes is safe. The first six teams to reach the end survive.
NetflixHere’s how that plays out:
- 1st place: Blue Team (Players 318 and 17)

Cash prize amount after Game 6: $4.45 million
Game 7: Circle of Trust
Netflix- Players eliminated: 5
- Players remaining: 6
Oh, you thought we forgot about Player 398 (Trinity)? As is explained, since he didn’t get picked in a team, he gets a free pass and returns for the seventh game: Circle of Trust.
This is set up in the same way as it was in Squid Game: The Challenge Season 1. The remaining contestants sit in a circle, with a black box in the middle.
They must all put on blindfolds, and one player is selected at random and tapped on the shoulder to take their blindfold off. They must quietly place the present on the desk of one contestant they wish to eliminate before sitting back down.
Here’s the twist: once everyone’s blindfolds are off, the player with the present has to leave the game unless they can correctly guess who gave it to them. If they guess correctly, the player who gave them the present is eliminated instead.
NetflixBelow, you’ll find the results of Circle of Trust:
- Player 327 gives 110 the present, 110 guesses 318
- Player 412 gives 409 the present, 409 guesses 183
- Player 183 gives 361 the present, 361 guesses 412

Cash prize amount after Game 7: $4.5 million
Game 8: Shuffleboard
Netflix- Players eliminated: 1
- Players remaining: 5
The penultimate game takes place right there and then in the dorms. Contestants are split into two groups of three:
- Team 1: Players 302, 398, 72
- Team 2: Players 183, 17, 327
Each slides a puck marked with their number towards a pink line – if they cross it, they’re instantly out. The player furthest from the line in each group faces off head-to-head for survival. The final face-off is Player 398 (Trinity) vs Player 327 (Kate).
Eliminated player:
- Player 327 (Kate)
Remaining players:
- Player 302 (Dajah)
- Player 183 (Steven)
- Player 398 (Trinity)
- Player 17 (Agnes)
- Player 72 (Perla)
Cash prize amount after Game 8: $4.51 million
Test 6
Netflix- Players eliminated: 1
- Players remaining: 4
In the finale, the remaining players sit down in their tuxedos for a final dinner, only to be presented with another test. In from of them are five coins: two triangles, two squares, and one black one. The latter coin represents elimination.
The first player must conceal the black coin and a gold coin in their hands and offer them to the next player, who must pick a hand and therefore a coin. Whoever is left with a black coin picks another gold coin and makes the same offer to the next player.
This continues until everyone has guessed once. The player with the black coin at the end of the game will be eliminated. The order of play is determined by chance: the napkin at the seat they chose has a number on it.
But in a shocking twist, Player 398 (Trinity) chooses to eliminate himself, allowing the remaining four contestants to move onto the final game.
Eliminated player:
- Player 398 (Trinity)
Remaining players:
- Player 302 (Dajah)
- Player 183 (Steven)
- Player 17 (Agnes)
- Player 72 (Perla)
Cash prize amount after Game 8: $4.52 million
Final Game: Red Light, Green Light
Netflix- Players eliminated: 3
- Players remaining: 1
Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 comes full circle with its final game, bringing back a challenge we usually see at the beginning: Red Light, Green Light. This time round, they won’t just be facing the doll, as they’ll also be racing each other.
No doubt you’re familiar with the rules, but if you need a refresher: players can only move when the doll is singing. When the doll stops and turns around, they have to remain perfectly still before she starts singing again. Otherwise, they’ll be eliminated.
In this version, the first person to cross the finish line will be the winner. The eliminations play out in the following order:
- Player 17 (Agnes)
- Player 183 (Steven)
- Player 302 (Dajah)
Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 winner
NetflixYes, that means Player 72, Perla Figuereo, is the winner of Season 2, taking home that life-changing sum of $4.56 million.
“Now I can take care of my family,” she says in the finale. “I can breathe now. Money is not going to be a worry, and that is just something I’ve never been used to. I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now.”
Squid Game: The Challenge Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Netflix now. You can also check out all the Squid Game challenges so far (ranked by difficulty), if Squid Game: The Challenge is scripted, and the new shows coming to Netflix this month.
