Player 072 – real name Perla – had a rocky road to the Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 final, most notably when she had to play Marbles against her brother Geoffrey.
Perla’s sibling chose not to compete in that Squid Game, instead instructing his sis to go win for the both of them.
And she did just that, taking home the $4.56 million prize after one player’s shocking sacrifice, the Squid Game villain falling at the final hurdle, and another contestant’s agonising injury. And Perla has big plans for the money.

NetflixDuring a lively Q&A that followed a screening of the Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 finale, Player 072/Perla was asked what she’s buying with all those dollars.
“Theres a few steps to spending the money,” explains Perla. “Number one is splitting it with Geoffrey. I don’t need that much money, and my brother is the reason I passed marbles.
“Number two is we’re getting our mom and dad a house. We are an immigrant family, we all moved to this country, and our dream was always to own property and not worry about the rent. My mom raised us on very low income and still gave us food and a home and an education and a life and happiness, but now it’s time to chill and get a house.”
Then came the surprise reveal: “Lastly, I want to get a boob job. Finally. With the best doctors.”

That got a big laugh from the audience, but Perla quickly followed it up with: “And investing. And I have to also donate to my middle school, East Harlem School, and Bates College, Black Student Union. Latinos Unidos – you will be hearing from me!”
