NetflixPhysical: Asia has finally come to a close and a winning team has been crowned. But fans have speculated whether the competition was “rigged,” pointing to Team Mongolia’s rigorous selection process — so here’s everyone from the East Asian squad. Spoilers ahead.
The Physical 100 spinoff series sees teams from Korea, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Mongolia, Indonesia, Turkey, and the Phillippines battle against one another in extreme tests of strength to see which country is the fittest. But after 12 episodes, Team Korea won the competition.
This led to accusations from fans that the competition was rigged by Team Korea, since the country hosted the competition, and its team was made out of previous contestants from Physical 100. But fans were quick to point out that Team Mongolia, who came second in the tournament, also went through an exhaustive selection process.
Physical: Asia producer Jang Ho-gi told Deadline that every team picked “traditional sports legends of each country,” like Manny Pacquiao on Team Philippines, to give them the best fighting chance and also to showcase the talent of each country. So, here’s everyone from Team Mongolia.
