Ciao bella! Emily in Paris Season 5 is nearly here to make the holidays complete, so make sure you know the exact release date and time on Netflix so you don’t miss a thing.

Forget guilty pleasure – in these strange times, Emily in Paris is practically a public service at this point. Sometimes you just want to kick back, switch your brain off, and watch the world’s most chaotic marketing executive navigating life and love on the continent.

Season 5 is particularly exciting, as Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is heading to Italy to explore new work opportunities and her relationship with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).

Despite the new setting, you can expect plenty more drama, love triangles, and questionable fashion choices. So, without further ado, here’s when the next chapter arrives on Netflix

Emily in Paris Season 5 release date & time

The good news is that Season 5 is dropping all at once, meaning you don’t have to wait for new batches or episodes to arrive. This wasn’t the cast with Season 4, which was split into two parts.

What’s more, Season 4 aired across August and September 2024 rather than the usual December drop due to delays caused primarily due to the Hollywood actors’ and writers’ strikes.

Thankfully, Emily in Paris is back to its usual release schedule – you can binge-watch the whole thing in one go if you wish!

What happened at the end of Season 4?

Lily Collins as Emily, Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello in Emily in Paris

The end of Emily in Paris Season 4 marks one of the biggest shake-ups the show has had so far, with Emily leaving behind her old life in Paris to enjoy her blossoming relationship with Marcello in Rome.

After months of emotional limbo, Emily accepts that her relationship with Gabriel has run its course – not because the love isn’t there, but because the timing, trust, and circumstances never quite align.

Earlier on in Season 4, Gabriel spends much of his time preparing to be a new dad, having found out that Camille is pregnant. However, this later turns out to be a false positive.

Although Camille asks Gabriel to pursue adoption with her anyway, he refuses, telling her, “We’re not together. We both deserve to have a family with someone we’re in love with.”

Camille chooses to move forward with her adoption plans alone, while Gabriel is left facing the consequences of his indecision, uncertain about both his restaurant and his future.

Although he initially accepts that things are truly over with Emily, Alfie later urges him to go after her. By the time Gabriel works up the nerve to call, it’s too late – Emily has already left Paris.

As for Emily’s professional life, Sylvie lands Italian luxury cashmere company Umberto Muratori (which Marcello is the heir to) as a major client for Agence Grateau, and she wants Emily to run the account.

Meanwhile, Mindy is also stepping into a new chapter. After breaking up with Nico, she lands a major opportunity as a judge on Chinese Superstar, signalling that Season 5 will push her career in a new direction.

By the finale, Emily is in Rome with clarity she’s rarely had before, setting the stage for Season 5 to explore who she is when she’s no longer tethered to Paris. The question remains: will she somehow find herself drawn back to Gabriel?

While you wait, find out if Emily in Paris is based on a book, why Lucas Bravo has had enough of fans picking sides, and check out more new TV shows coming to streaming this month.
