This latest season opens a new chapter with standout arrivals, Egg rotations, returning Legendaries, and exploration-focused bonuses shaping the next three months. Niantic’s roadmap is packed with themed events, special research, and region-wide perks that tie into Precious Paths’ narrative.
Get ready for Gigantamax Meowth, Dynamax Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, a new Battle League season, and so much more. With major updates rolling out, it’s shaping up to be one of the most content-rich eras Pokemon Go has had in years.

Pokemon Go Precious Paths season: Dates & time
The Precious Paths season will run from Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM until Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time.
This follows directly from the Tales of Transformation season, which brought Dripplin and Hydrapple to the game along with plenty of Dynamax and Gigantamax creatures. Plus, the debut of the Mythical Keldeo’s Resolute Form.
Gigantamax Meowth
Since the Max Out season introduced both Dynamax and Gigantamax forms to Pokemon Go, new creatures with these capabilities have been making their way into the game.
For the first time in Niantic’s game, players will have the chance to encounter Meowth in its Gigantamax form in Power Spots. Upon defeat, trainers will earn the chance to catch it.
But that’s not all, as Dynamax Hitmonlee and Dynamax Hitmonchan will also be added to the game, with more to come surely.
NIANTICPokemon debuts
This season will feature plenty of Paldean creatures such as Nacli and its evolutionary line Naclstack, and Garganacl.
Galarian Pokemon like Clobbopus and Grapploct will also be introduced, while Sudowoodo and Charjabug will appear with new holiday outfits.

Special & Masterwork Research
A new season-long Special Research will be available to claim from December 2, 2025, until March 3, 2025. During the three months, new parts of the Research will unlock with special events, so keep an eye out!
Additionally, players will be able to purchase a Special Research called Masterwork Research: A Precious Catch for US$7.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).
As of completion, players will be granted a Master Ball as one of the rewards. But use it wisely, as it is a very rare and powerful item.
NIANTICResearch Breakthrough
By completing the Field Research, players can unlock Research Breakthrough encounters with one of the following Pokemon:
- Galarian Mr. Mime*
- Lapras*
- Snorlax*
- Honedge
- Sinistea*
- Dreepy
Note: Pokemon marked with an (*) can be encountered as Shiny.
Wild encounters rotations
The Precious Paths season will add new Pokemon in different biomes based on their natural habitat and Pokedex entry. However, they haven’t been confirmed yet. We will update this guide as soon as Niantic reveals the list.

Community Days
The following dates will have Community Days during Pokemon Go’s newest season:
- December 6–7: All previously featured Pokemon during 2025

Go Battle League
The Go Battle League will return with the regular Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues.
Additionally, special competitions such as the Scroll Cup, Holiday Cup, the 2026 Championship Series Cup, Love Cup, and more will be featured.
NIANTICSeasonal bonuses
The Precious Paths season will feature the following bonuses:
- x1 additional Special Trade per day.
- Increased Stardust for the first catch of the day.
- Increased friendship bonus damage dealt by Pokemon in Raids.
Go Pass
The GO Pass, a limited-time progress tracker, will reset with the Precious Paths season challenges. Those who complete the tasks will earn Go Points to increase their ranks and earn juicy rewards. For those after a faster progression, a paid version – Go Pass Deluxe – is also available.
Reaching major milestones will unlock the following bonuses:

Those who upgrade to the Deluxe edition will be able to open up to 50 Gifts per day, receive up to 150 Gifts from spinning Discs, and hold up to 20 additional ones in your Item Bag.
Others
As usual, new sets of stickers will be available for players to collect, PokeStop Showcases will take place at different PokeStops throughout the special events planned for the Precious Paths season, and there will be new Store deals for boxes.
