DexertoMinecraft has a new Game Drops coming out soon, thanks to their recent announcement, bringing tons of new content to our worlds.
The beauty of Minecraft is its creativity, but that creativity is often stunted when there’s not the right block for your new house, or fun trials to explore during your hunt for diamonds… and they do say no house is a home without a dog (or a pet wolf on this occasion). Luckily, Mojang’s regular updates grant exactly that, from new blocks to immersive features that will bring your world to life.
The Mounts of Mayhem game drops are no different, and we finally know all they have to offer. So, here’s all you need to know about the next Minecraft Game Drop.
Mounts of Mayhem
Is there a Mounts of Mayhem release date?
The Mounts of Mayhem Game Drop releases on December 9 on both Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft.
Expected release time
Of course, since we’re yet to have a release date, any release time is purely speculation. However, we can use previous Game Drops to predict the timings.
Both the Chase the Skies, Spring To Life, and the Garden Awakens Game Drops were released at 11 AM ET, which is 8 AM PT. So, we expect it to drop around this time for Mounts of Mayhem, too.
Features
The Spear
A brand new weapon is coming to Minecraft as part of the Mounts of Mayhem Game Drop. The Spear will act as a melee weapon while also allowing you to take down enemies in mounted combat.
On top of this, you’ll be able to perform two different types of attacks: the jab and the charge. Charge attacks can knock foes from their mounts, and jab attacks will push them back from you, keeping dangerous enemies at bay.

What’s more, the weapon will scale depending on how fast you’re going on your horse, so the faster the horse, the more damage you’ll do.
Zombie Horses in Survival
Zombie Horses are already a thing in Minecraft, but are purely limited to Creative mode. That is, until now.
Dexerto / MojangWhen the Mounts of Mayhem update releases, players will now come across Zombie Horses in the Savannah and Plains biomes. They’re not aggressive animals, but when there’s a Zombie on them, they’ll quickly turn hostile. So, kill the Zombie and not the horse, and you could have a cute new green friend for your home.
Nautilus / Zombie Nautilus
It wouldn’t be a Game Drop without a new mob (the Zombie Horse doesn’t count), and the Nautilus is exactly that.
This underwater creature will be a fully rideable mount, helping you explore the ocean both above and underwater.
Tame it (with Pufferfish), stick a saddle on it, armor it up, and explore all the underwater world has to offer. It also allows you to breathe underwater thanks to the Breath of the Nautilus effect.
However, you’ll have to be careful, for there’s also a Zombie Nautilus, which, like the Zombie Horse, is passive until it has a mob on it; then it’s a pretty dangerous foe.
