Although Marvel Rivals features a stacked roster of heroes and villains, some have proven more popular than others since launch.
You’ll often notice specific characters appearing in matches over and over again, and now – with Season 4– the devs have shared the official data to reveal the most picked heroes.

Quickplay pick rates take into account both PC and console separately. It’s no surprise to see Jeff the Land Shark, Cloak & Dagger, Emma Frost, and Invisible Woman take the top spots in both, as they’ve been the go-to characters in Marvel Rivals since their respective debuts.
Meanwhile, the likes of Storm and Human Torch remain at the bottom end of both lists, along with Black Widow and Wolverine. We’ll just have to wait and see how the meta evolves during the upcoming seasons and whether they can climb back up.

The Marvel Rivals Competitive pick rates are broken up by platform, giving us insight into who is dominating Ranked lobbies on both console and PC. At the time of writing, Cloak & Dagger, Doctor Strange, Invisible Woman, and Rocket Raccoon are still the most-picked heroes across both PC and console.
However, where Cloak & Dagger thrive, Black Widow, Human Torch, and Wolverine do the opposite. They can regularly be found sitting at the bottom of all the rankings, regardless of quickplay or competitive.

Cloak & Dagger, Doctor Strange, Jeff the Land Shark, Emma Frost, and Invisible Woman are easily the most popular characters in Marvel Rivals, as they have the highest overall pick rate across both modes and platforms.
The Strategists have become a staple of virtually every match, mostly because they’re strong in nearly any team composition, turning the tide of a fight with smart plays. Meanwhile, the Vanguards are the frontline protectors and space-makers as their high health pools allow them to absorb damage while disrupting enemy formations.
NetEase GamesOn the other hand, the least popular heroes are Wolverine, Human Torch, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Storm, with very low pick rates across Quickplay and Competitive.
When does Marvel Rivals hero data update?
The Marvel Rivals devs have confirmed that they’ll be updating both the pick rates and win rates every half-season. So, the current stats are based on the second half of Season 4, and the next refresh will arrive during Season 5.
Season 5 – Love is a Battlefield – kicks off on November 14, 2025, and will introduce two new heroes: Gambit and Rogue. The first one will arrive at the start of the season, while Rogue will join in the middle of it.
