Rockstar GamesThe GTA Online Winter update has finally introduced one of the most demanded features and the return of a major character.
Thousands of players have been gearing up for the upcoming drop as Rockstar prepares to roll out a massive seasonal update, and now it’s finally here it’s got some thrilling new features coming: the ability to finally own a mansion and the long-awaited comeback of the legendary Michael De Santa.
A Safehouse in the Hills release date
As confirmed in a post on X, the Winter update has released on December 10 and comes with the introduction of luxury mansions for the first time in GTA Online. Players are able to purchase a high-end estate in Tongva Hills, Richman, or near Vinewood, and make it their own.
These properties are built to flex wealth and power with pools, yoga spaces, garages, driveways, kennels, gym equipment, hot tubs, helipads, and so much more, including extra rooms like arcades, armories for your weapons, podiums for showcasing your vehicles, and vehicle workshops for upgrades, and those more mechanically minded.
On top of this are the events you can host inside these mansions. You can host parties and open your doors to various strangers and friends as everyone mixes inside the estate. You’ll also be able to hire a security team to keep things controlled and run the mansion through an AI Concierge with three selectable personalities. Every room can be customized to match whatever style you want.
GTA Online Mansion prices
There had been some claims that buying a mansion would set players back around $20 million for the high-end upgrades. However, they come in just under that price tage – even with a whole lot of upgrades.
The base price for each house can be found below:
- Tongva Hills – $11,500,000
- Richman – $12,800,000
- Vinewood – $12,200,000
You will get a $2 million discount on each property, provided you completed the three New Listing Missions before December 7th. If not, hard lines, you’re paying full price.

Being able to purchase your own high-end mansion is the headline update of A Safehouse in the Hills. Owning a luxury property isn’t just for show, though. Below are some of the features that can be integrated into a mansion.
