Clint Ourso, the former project manager on the Saints Row series, believes GTA 6 will be “absolutely worth” the rumored $100 price tag, but he wants to see a co-op mode added.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 has been the price tag. Games have been increasing in price over the years, regularly costing $70 to pre-order a base version of it.

There have been a number of claims that say GTA 6 will break that mould, with the base version of the game costing $100. Take-Two, Rockstar’s publishers, have not said anything concrete, but suggested that fans get more value than they pay for anyway.

Some developers believe that everyone else is waiting for Rockstar Games to make that leap so that others can justify it too. Others have defended the rumored price tag, noting just how long the game has been in development.

Ex-Saints Row boss believes GTA 6 would be worth $100 cost

Clint Ourso, the former Project Manager for Saints Row – a long-time rival to the Grand Theft Auto series – believes that Rockstar and Take-Two could justify charging $100 out of the gate.

“One is probably more than we should be paying for video games. But everything’s going up and development costs are going up. GTA is absolutely worth even a hundred dollars,” he told Gameshub

“I would pay for GTA because it will be worth it. And if they don’t do it, that’s the other thing, right? The model they choose, they don’t try to nickel and dime you later with all this stuff.”

Ourso, who noted that he’d love to revive the Saints Row franchise with some other former developers, would like to see GTA copy the co-op mode they had.

“That would be awesome. As a gamer, I think that would be a fantastic world to open up. I think to have co-op fun and to play with friends, then from there you can grow on more,” he said, adding that GTA would “lend itself even more” to co-op.
