Landfall GamesTombs in Peak are perfect if you want to grab more badges or explore for some rather adorable treasure, but you have to find it first.
Peak’s Mesa map brought with it a variety of new challenges, and while the adorable Capybaras can still be found there (provided the Alpine map isn’t available), you’ll also find a mysterious hole in the ground, leading to an even more mysterious, but incredibly useful Tomb.
However, just like the Capybaras, the Tombs’ location changes every day, and it’s up to you (or a handy guide that updates daily with the location) to find the entrance. So, if you’re a little stuck, here’s whether the Tomb is open in Peak today and where to find it.
Peak Tomb location: December 15
Today, the Tomb in Peak is closed as the Mesa map isn’t available.
Don’t forget to bookmark this page and check back tomorrow for updates on its location.
Landfall GamesIt’s worth noting that when it’s closed, you can technically get inside, but you won’t be able to get far enough to get any rewards or really explore.
What do you do in the Tomb?
Once you find the Tomb, you’ll be greeted with a new title card. Make your way down and follow the path; it can often be a bit of a maze, so you’ll need a little time.
Go all the way through and look for the chasm. This will lead to a treasure room, which always holds a golden idol. Naturally, that’s a Golden Bing Bong. Grab this, and you’ll have a pretty powerful item in your hands.

What does Golden Bing Bong do?
Golden Bing Bong is an incredibly useful item in Peak. It essentially negates all damage when held. So it’ll only work for one of your team members. We recommend giving it to the clumsiest player, just to be on the safe side.
Landfall GamesThe only issue is that it’s solid gold, so it weighs almost as much as your entire health bar, so you won’t be able to climb or really do much aside from not getting hurt.
This is why the best thing to do with it is to earn the 24 Karat Badge.
How to get 24 Karat Badge
To get the 24 Karat Badge in Peak, you’ll need to head into the Tomb (what a coincidence, you can find its location above!). Once there, collect the Golden Bing Bong and begin to exit the Tomb.
You’ll want to look for a door located just below the level where you grabbed the idol. Head through there and look for the Kiln, which is basically just lava. Throw poor Golden Bing Bong in there and you’ll get the 24 Karat Badge.
So, that’s all you need to know about where to find the Tomb in Peak. While searching for it and completing the badge, be sure to check out just how long it took the developers to make this incredibly popular game.
