ARVOREA new video game in the world of The Boys has been revealed, and a number of original cast members are confirmed to be reprising their roles for it.
While The Boys has been on Prime Video since 2019 and in comic stores long before that, the over-the-top superhero satire has never had a proper video game adaptation. Until now, that is.
The Boys: Trigger Warning has been announced, with the series making the jump to virtual reality across both the Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2 devices in 2026. Although Homelander appeared as a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat 1, this marks the first full-fledged game in The Boys’ universe.
It centers around a new story within the TV show’s timeline, and will include many familiar faces, with some, though not all, being voiced by their original actors.
What is The Boys VR game about?
Coming from ARVORE, an Emmy award-winning VR development studio, Trigger Warning drops you into the role of Lucas. See, Lucas was a “loyal Vought employee” until one day, a trip to Voughtland went awry.
A group of D-list Supes, as the game’s description details, “ruined everything.” As such, Lucas has turned to The Boys to get revenge, using Compound V to his advantage, temporarily gaining all manner of abilities from camouflage to hand blades, and yes, even laser eyes just like Homelander.
Throughout the VR experience, you’ll be teaming up with iconic characters like Butcher and Kimiko, while Laz Alonso and Jensen Ackles reprise their roles as Mother’s Milk (M.M.) and Soldier Boy, respectively.
Created in unison with showrunner Eric Kripke, the game is set to capture “everything fans expect from The Boys,” ARVORE CEO Ricardo Justus said.
“They did not just review ideas,” Creative Director Ricardo Laganaro added. “They helped shape characters and scenes with us, and even wrote dialogue, which made the story genuinely feel like it belonged within ‘The Boys’ universe.
