MicrosoftIn one of the most unexpected crossovers of the year, Stranger Things has arrived in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, allowing fans to explore Hawkins like never before.
Although Microsoft Flight Simulator is known for its realism and authentic flying, it’s also tried its hand at some quirky crossovers. These range from a Dune collab that lets you fly around the desert planet of Arrakis in an Ornithopter, to a Top Gun tie-in that puts you in control of planes from the movie.
Now, they’ve announced the strangest collaboration yet, as Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things comes to the game.

In a blog post, Microsoft announced the free expansion, which focuses on the eccentric Murray Bauman and his new project, Hawkins Heli-Tours, which gives fans a tour of the fictional Indiana town.
You’ll be piloting a UH-1H “Huey” helicopter, as you get a bird’s-eye view of iconic locations from the show, such as Starcourt Mall, Hawkins Middle School, and Hawkins National Laboratory.
MicrosoftThere are a total of five different missions to try out, which include “shady supply ops, close-call chases, and high-stakes rescues.” The devs didn’t go into detail on what they involve, but from the screenshots, it looks like they involve saving residents from the rifts opened by Vecna at the end of Season 4.
Once you’ve restored peace to the town, you can then explore a “highly detailed” map, featuring over 40 different spots from the series, including the home of Victor Creel.
