Remedy finally reveals Control sequel at The Game Awards

Control Resonant cinematic

The Fadens are back, and the Remedy-verse continues. A follow-up to Control has been unveiled at The Game Awards 2025, as Control: Resonant is now in focus.

Two years on from Remedy’s last brain-melting experience, Alan Wake 2 (sorry, FBC Firebreak), the Finnish studio’s next game has now stepped into the light. A Faden is back in full force, but it’s not Jesse.

Six years after the original, Control Resonant continues the complex, interwoven narrative of Remedy’s surreal games. The sequel is set to launch in 2026.

You can get your first taste of the bizarre next steps with the full trailer below.

Control Resonant unveiled

The sequel is set to follow Dylan as he’s deployed by the FBC to combat an emerging supernatural threat in Manhattan. That’s right, the chaos has broken out of The Oldest House.

As Dylan, in a mirror of the first game, we’ll also be tracking down Jesse Faden. Of course, that means all new gameplay abilities as we come to grips with Dylan’s full potential.

How it all connects to the ongoing, interwoven narrative with Alan Wake, is anyone’s guess for now. But we’ll certainly be there on day one to find out. Control Resonant is set to launch across PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
