New Tomb Raider games revealed at The Game Awards 2025

New look at Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Catalyst

Lara Croft’s future is now set in stone as two brand-new Tomb Raider games were just revealed at The Game Awards 2025.

Everyone’s favorite gaming archaeologist is back (sorry, Nathan Drake). Lara Croft’s next adventures were just unveiled as the Tomb Raider series took center stage during the 2025 Game Awards event.

Not only is there a remake of the very first game, known as Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, but there’s also another brand new entry in the franchise on the way, Tomb Raider: Catalyst.

While we’ve known about a live-action TV series in the works for a number of years now, these mark the first new video games since Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018 – a seven-year gap.

You can see the full trailers below to learn all about the upcoming Tomb Raider games.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst announced

Up first, we saw Catalyst, the next adventure starring Lara Croft. It’s not coming until 2027, so don’t hold your breath, but we’re sure to learn plenty more about it in the coming year. In the meantime, there’s something shiny to hold us over.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis coming 2026

Before we get to the next mainline entry in the Tomb Raider franchise, we’re getting a full-fledged remake of Lara Croft’s original journey. It’s the very first game, from all the way back in 1996, remade three decades later.
