If there’s one game that’s been making waves lately, it’s ARC Raiders. The extraction shooter only just launched, but it’s already proving to be a formidable force. We even labelled it the best shooter of the year.
It’s gained so much traction that popular streamer shroud said he’d rather see it win Game of the Year over Expedition 33.
Of course, the game still has some tough rivals in the extraction-shooter space, Escape from Tarkov among them, but if you’re wondering how ARC Raiders is doing numbers-wise, here’s what we know:
ARC Raiders player count

Do keep in mind, however, that these numbers only give us one side of the picture. Since the game is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and GeForce Now, it’s expected that the actual overall player count is even higher.
Peak player count
ARC Raiders peaked at 700,000 concurrent players, across all platforms, according to an announcement from Embark Studios posted on November 11, 2025.
“It’s been a little over one week since we opened up the tunnels for you to head Topside, and this past weekend we reached over 700,000 concurrent Raiders on the surface!” they wrote.

It’s unclear at the time of writing if the new Steam record on November 16 led to an overall peak across all platforms, but we’ll keep you posted if the developers share further insight.
For comparison, ARC Raiders hit 100,000 concurrent players in just 30 minutes during launch week.
From then on, it kept climbing, reaching a peak of 459,483 on Steam alone on November 10, 2025. Clearly, it’s only continued to rise in popularity.

When stacked up against other shooters, ARC Raiders is performing incredibly well. With over 333,000 concurrent players on Steam and a peak of more than 600,000 players in just a little over a week since launch, it’s already outpacing genre peers like Escape from Tarkov and even the parody hit Escape from Duckov.
Its player base also sits roughly on par with Battlefield 6, which is impressive for a brand-new IP, and it’s far ahead of this year’s Call of Duty release with Black Ops 7. Of course, when compared to the battle royale giant Fortnite, there’s still a massive gap. But for an extraction shooter this fresh, the momentum is remarkable.
