The Sony vs Tencent ‘Horizon clone’ lawsuit has officially ended in a settlement, with Light of Motiram now disappearing from storefronts.

Sony’s Horizon series centers on Aloy, a young redheaded woman exploring a world where nature and machine collide. The series is undeniably popular, with thousands enjoying its massive landscapes and unique design.

So, when Light of Motiram was first revealed, another game with a young redheaded woman who explores a world with animal-themed machines, fans were quick to point out the resemblance.

Comparisons spread quickly on social feeds as early trailers and screenshots circulated, and Sony officially filed a lawsuit against Tencent, sparking a lengthy legal battle with filings and motions from both sides. Well, it’s now all over.
