Invincible VS: New character trailer, release date and everything we know after The Game Awards

Invincible VS was initially revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest 2025, giving fans of the bloody superhero series even more to sink their teeth into.
On December 11 during the 2025 Game Awards, a new trailer was released showing off a character unique to the game, as well as Invincible VS’s official release date.
Here’s what we know so far, including insights garnered from our visit to Skybound Studios a few weeks prior to Invincible VS’s grand reveal, as well as all the new info shared at The Game Awards.

Invincible VS is set for release in on April 30, 2026, on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
The game will come with three different editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and a Physical Collectors Edition:
Standard Editions ($49.99):
- Digital Version: Base game and Pre-Order Bonus (Zero Suit Mark and four Color Variants).
- Physical Version: Base game on Xbox or PS5 physical disc, controller layout card and Exclusive Keepsake cards.
Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99):
- Includes all digital Standard Edition items and Deluxe Cosmetics – featuring a Profile Card Background, Profile Card Badge, Profile Card Title and Profile Card Frame – along with the Year 1 Character Pass, which will introduce two additional characters in the months following launch, for a total of four new characters over the course of the Pass.
Physical Collector’s Edition ($99.99):
- All offerings above, plus a PS5 physical disc, steelbook, Invincible #1 reprint with exclusive cover, a letter of appreciation from Quarter Up signed by the development team – and more.
- The Collector’s Edition is only available for PlayStation 5. The Keepsake cards are only available in the Amazon Exclusive Edition.

The latest trailer for Invincible VS showed off a character completely unique to the game, who hasn’t been seen in the comics or the show: Ella Mental.
Boasting control over the four elements, Ella Mental is an heiress to her family’s fortune and her grandfather’s favorite grandkid, allowing her access to an ancient talisman that gifts her these powers.
We even got the chance to interview Quarter Up about her celebrity voice actress, rapper Tierra Whack, and the star power she brought to the role.

Who is developing Invincible VS?
Invincible VS is developed by Quarter Up, an in-house game development studio led by former members of Double Helix Games’ Killer Instinct team. Their name, Quarter Up, references the time-honored tradition of stacking a quarter on an arcade cabinet to claim the next game.
There’s quite a bit of DNA from KI in Invincible VS, but the devs at Quarter Up told us they’re working closely with the show’s animators and creators within the exact same studio at Skybound to make sure it retains everything fans know and love about the series.

Thus far, eleven characters have been confirmed for Invincible VS:

The devs have stated that Invincible VS will feature 18 characters at launch, along with a Year 1 Character Pack, which will introduce two additional fighters in the months following launch for a total of four new characters over the course of the Pass.
Skybound Entertainment, Quarter UpOriginal story mode
Invincible VS will feature a totally original story, complete with an original character: Ella Mental. The story features over 25 minutes of bespoke animation and will bring new flair to the Invincible Universe.
Quarter Up showed off Ella Mental’s trailer at the 2025 Game Awards, along with a release date for April 30, 2026.
