AdHocDispatch proved to be a huge success when it was released, with its episodic choice-based stories and romanceable characters gripping the gaming community. As such, fans are begging for a second season, and news may be coming soon.
Whether it was because of the stellar voice acting cast, loveable characters, link to Critical Role, or beautiful art style, thousands were locked into Dispatch every week as it dropped two new episodes in its story, allowing you to dispatch heroes to the city and recover your name as Mecha Man.
However, after eight episodes, the game was over, leaving players begging for more and calling for a second season to be made. Well, the developers have been listening, and they may be speaking out very soon.
Dispatch Season 2 news teased by developers
In an interview with Eurogamer, Dispatch developers, AdHock Studio, commented on the “new problem” of fans constantly asking about season 2: “Are you doing it? Are you not doing it?”
The co-founder and game director of AdHoc, Nick Herman, then revealed that they’re actually “days away from really sitting down and having the time – because we’ve had to support the game – where we’re going to really sit down and lay those plans out.”
AdHocWhile this doesn’t actually mean there’s a season two coming, it does mean the studio is seriously considering it and is likely to have a meeting about the plans for Dispatch in the coming days.
Adding onto Herman’s statement was co-founder, Pierre Shorette, who explained that they’re considering Season 2 “As seriously as anything” but feel that it’ll certainly be more challenging than Season 1.
“There were zero expectations for Season 1 – external expectations. People just had to show up and enjoy it and not have a bunch of theories and stuff in their heads. Season 2, if we do it, we know that’s going to be an extra challenge.”
