Live events are some of the most memorable updates for Fortnite, giving players a chance to experience limited-time celebrations of various types together for a short window, often with several earnable rewards for participation.

Chapter 6, Mini Season 2 has been in full swing since its launch, introducing plenty of new content to keep players busy. As the season progresses, however, Epic has just revealed that the upcoming live event will be based on a collab.

Here’s when the next Fortnite live event could begin and everything you need to know.

Next Fortnite live event date and time

The next Fortnite live event kicks off on November 29, 2025, at 2 PM ET.

Also known as the Zero Hour event, devs first dropped a teaser for it in the game’s OG mode, showing a “Now Playing” sign that hints at the start of a “new story.”

The three hints from the in-game teaser, which include Zero Hour, Chapter Seven, and Fortnite After Dark with Q&U, seem to be connected to the upcoming Chapter 7 storyline. At first, fans speculated that “Q&U” could refer to Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman.

But then came the teaser for the upcoming live event, which confirmed a Kill Bill collab. Though only for a few seconds, there was a sequence of The Bride riding a motorcycle as chaos ensued in the background.

Not long after that, it’s revealed that players can get a free Gogo Yubari skin by purchasing a movie ticket, and a Yuki Yubari skin just by logging in a specific time window.

There’s also talk that we might get to ride bikes, use jetpacks, and join a huge battle to save the island. One leaker even claimed we’ll be fighting off waves of enemies and bosses once we return, and that there could be a space sequence in the mix.

Hope and Jonesy are set to make an appearance too, with Jonesy reportedly getting actual voice lines. Hatsune Miku is also reportedly going to make an appearance during the event.

Either way, there’s still some time before the event begins, and we can likely expect a gradual build-up leading into it.

When was the last live event?

The last Fortnite live event, Follow the Butterfly, took place in the game’s OG mode on November 8 at 2 AM ET.

Fortnite Butterfly event
The Butterfly event teleports players into a mysterious location.

This event picked up after Kevin the Cube started showing cracks. Once it leaked and went empty, the cube began to spin and eventually exploded. After that, players were met with a bright white screen before being transported to a mysterious realm known as The In-Between.

Inside The In-Between, Revin could be seen floating around. A massive rift then appeared, transforming into a butterfly that landed on each player’s hand. Another blinding flash followed, sending everyone right back to the island.

Following the event, Leaky Lake looked completely different, now covered with fragments of the Floating Island that had crashed down into the water.

How to watch a live event

To join a Fortnite live event, either ensure you’re in a Battle Royale or Zero Build match at the event’s specified start time and date, or join the specific playlist.

For example, the Death Star Sabotage took place in its own playlist, and players were able to find it on the Discover tab two hours before the event began.

For the Zero Hour live event, you’ll be able to find the playlist in the Discover tab. You’ll want to make sure to hop in about 30 minutes early, around 1:30 PM ET, just to be safe. Getting in ahead of time means you won’t have to worry if the servers start filling up.
