Epic GamesFortnite‘s Battle Bus has been a staple of the game since Chapter 1, but leaks have revealed that it’s being replaced when Chapter 7 starts on November 30.
The signature flying blue bus has carried players onto the island since 2017, giving them the freedom to jump out and start their match wherever they please. Even the driver has become part of the experience, as most players thank him before dropping to earn easy XP and avoid bad karma.
But that’s all set to change in Chapter 7, which brings a new West Coast USA theme to the battle royale. As part of this shake-up, the iconic Battle Bus is being replaced…by a tsunami no less.
Fortnite leak reveals Tsunami to replace Battle Bus in Chapter 7
According to a leak from ‘NotPaloleaks’, which was later verified by ‘Shiina’ and ‘HYPEX,’ you won’t be flying into matches anymore. Instead, you and the rest of the lobby will surf onto the island riding the huge wave of a tsunami.
Just like the Battle Bus, the wave will come from a random direction each time, ensuring that no two games are the same.
But the real twist is that the wave will be much lower, meaning that only a few locations will be available right away, rather than the entire map. This will likely mean that the early moments of every game will be even more frantic, as there will be more players in each landing spot fighting for loot.

Don’t worry, though, the Battle Bus isn’t gone forever. Leaks have also revealed that this new method of starting a match is only temporary and everything will return to normal eventually. A questline has even been spotted that asks fans to track parts of the bus to rebuild it.
So, although it’s not clear yet how long it will take to fix, you can sleep easy knowing that the iconic Battle Bus won’t be out of action for long.
