NetflixAnother Stranger Things collab is coming to Fortnite ahead of the release of the final season, and this time, players will be able to step into the Upside Down for themselves.
Fortnite has crossed over with the hit Netflix show many times in the past, with the first batch of skins arriving as far back as Chapter 1 Season 9. With Season 5 due to premiere on November 26, it seemed inevitable that Eleven and co. would return.
While fans might have expected the team to come as part of the Chapter 7 update, Epic Games have revealed it’s actually happening sooner than first thought.
Stranger Things Upside Down map coming to Fortnite Blitz
On November 21, a new Stranger Things map is coming to Fortnite Blitz — the game’s smaller 32-player mode.
Based on the trailer, players will be able to leave the comfort of this dimension and enter the Upside Down, the mysterious realm that has been the main focus of the show for its entire run. The brief footage doesn’t show too many POIs, but villain Vecna’s house does appear.
However, it’s not clear if the entire map will take place in the Upside Down, or if there will be a feature to switch between realities.
This latest collab also brings new skins for characters who weren’t included in previous crossovers, including the four friends at the heart of the story – Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Will Byers – and the series’ main antagonist, Vecna.
These characters will likely be available for the in-game store, although there’s currently no official date for when they will arrive. That being said, dataminers have already begun sharing some of the cosmetics coming with the skins.

For example, Vecna has his own grotesque Pickaxe made of vines, as well as Back Bling based on the infamous clock that haunted most of Season 4.
