Winterfest is always one of the most popular events in Fortnite, partly due to the festive overhaul it brings to the map, but mainly because of the free skins on offer. Players can visit the cozy cabin every day and open one present, granting them a free reward.
But with so many boxes to choose from, it can be tough to know where to start. Well, we’ve broken down what’s inside each Winterfest gift so you know which ones to open.
Where is the Winterfest cabin?
To claim your daily gift, all you need to do is visit the Winterfest cabin from the main menu by scrolling to the snowflake icon. This may not be visible in-game until 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm GMT, when the Winterfest event fully begins.
Once inside, you’ll see a lot of presents scattered across the floor, and you’re free to open whichever one speaks to you most.
Once you’ve opened it and received the reward inside, you’ll have to wait until the following day to try again. But don’t worry if you miss a few days over the festive period, you can come back and claim them all in one go if you prefer.

There are 14 different presents to open altogether, so here’s a breakdown of what each one contains:

The two free skins, Glacial Dummy and Cheeks, can only be claimed after you’ve opened 7 and 13 presents, respectively. So, for the first few days at least, you’ll have to work through the other gifts.
You can also get some free XP if you select the fireplace. This can be done at any time and doesn’t count as your daily gift, but it can only be activated once.
You have until Monday, January 5, 2026, to claim all of them.
