Diddy trial: All charges, verdicts and sentences

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was convicted of two federal charges related to prostitution but acquitted on three others, including racketeering and sex trafficking. The charges stemmed from three separate indictments filed between 2024 and 2025.

Combs was first arrested in September 2024 and detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. As additional women came forward, two more indictments followed. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies all allegations.

Here are all five of Diddy’s charges as well as the verdict:

Diddy sentenced to 4 years in prison

For the two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison – meaning he will spend just over four years behind bars.

The rapper will receive credit for the 13 months he’s already spent in jail, on top of five years of supervised release once he’s free and a $500,000 fine.

Judge Subramanian, who presided over the case, tore Combs apart during the sentencing.

“A history of good works can’t wash away the record in this case. You abused these women. You used that abuse to get your way, freak-offs and hotel nights. The evidence of the abuse is massive. I was sitting right here, during the testimony,” he said.

All Diddy charges explained

The first charge alleged Combs used his businesses, including Bad Boy Entertainment and Combs Global, to carry out unlawful activity as part of a criminal enterprise. Three women were named in connection with the count, but the jury found him not guilty.

The second charge, tied to Cassie Ventura, accused Combs of coercing her into commercial sex acts. She testified that he paid male sex workers to engage with her while he watched. The defense argued the acts were consensual. The jury acquitted him.

He was convicted on the third charge, which alleged he transported individuals, including Cassie, across state lines to engage in prostitution.

The fourth charge focused on an anonymous witness, ‘Jane.’ She testified that Combs coerced her into sexual performances and that she took drugs to numb the experience. Combs was acquitted.

The fifth charge mirrored the third and was based on Jane’s testimony. Combs was found guilty.

A January 2025 superseding indictment included additional witnesses but did not add new charges. Sentencing is pending, with each conviction carrying up to 10 years in prison.

Diddy was denied bail, meaning that he remained in police custody until his sentencing on Friday, October 3, 2025.

In January, a documentary was released on Netflix by 50 Cent that explored all the charges against the rapper.
