YouTubeUFC boss Dana White has admitted to getting Streameast, the world’s largest illegal streaming service, shut down.
Streameast is one of those websites that is synonymous with sports fans across the world, as it has illegally broadcast games and fights for years. However, back in August, the website was shut down for a period.
After a raid by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment and Egyptian officials in El-Sheikh Zaid, Egypt, two men were arrested on suspicion of copyright infringement. A number of electronic devices were also seized, as well as cryptocurrency and money.
Streameast’s network was temporarily shut down following the raid. However, it popped back up shortly after under new aliases. Streameast has continued to avoid a total shutdown, with new websites popping up in the same name. However, Dan White has “personally” aided in the crackdown.

Speaking on Sundae Conversations with Caleb Pressley, White was asked about the shutdown of the streaming outlet.
“I cut down a lot of streamers, yeah, that’s one of my favorite things to do,” he said. “Yeah, we took it seriously and went after people.”
White has, for a long time, gone after pirated content of UFC events. “We go after piracy hard, and you saw a few years ago, we started prosecuting people. That’s how you combat piracy,” he told reporters back in 2024 when asked if he would change the price of pay-per-views to combat piracy.
StreamEast taunted White after he said that, urging him to “come get it then Dana.” They also claimed: “It’s time for him to pay the fans back and the fighters more.”

The UFC boss also claimed that “people who steal it are stealing for us and them,” referring to UFC fighters. “And what happens to people who steal? You get f**king smashed, and you go to jail, and I make sure that we get you,” he told GQ back in 2022.
