Crocs x Nickelodeon collaboration reveals bizarre Squidward clogs ahead of new SpongeBob movie
Crocs has unveiled its official collaboration with Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and the internet is already fixated on one item in particular featuring the grumpy octopus Squidward.
The new Squidward Classic Clog was revealed on TikTok on December 5, giving fans their first look at a design that has quickly picked up attention for its exaggerated sculpted face and unusual shape. The reveal has just under 2 million views at the time of writing.
The SpongeBob crossover is part of Crocs’ ongoing series of character-based drops. This collection arrives shortly before The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants releases on December 19, positioning the footwear line as a timely promotional tie-in for the franchise’s next theatrical entry.
The Squidward clog reveal came through a short TikTok posted on Crocs’ official account. The clip highlighted the sculpted front of the shoe, complete with Squidward’s nose and half-lidded expression.
Crocs has listed the Squidward Classic Clog as “Coming Soon” on its website alongside SpongeBob and Patrick variants, each priced at 79.99 dollars.
Crocs confirms Squidward clog release date
According to the brand’s product page, the Squidward clogs will be available beginning December 11. The broader SpongeBob lineup includes three character designs, all releasing ahead of the upcoming film and marketed under Crocs’ Character Shoes and Charms category.
The Squidward version stands out due to its molded front section, which differs from the flatter graphic-based designs seen in the SpongeBob and Patrick pairs.
The sculpted approach has led to a surge of online reactions across TikTok and other platforms, ranging from excitement among collectors to humor from viewers surprised by the exaggerated facial features.
As of now, Crocs has not announced any additional SpongeBob characters, but there are plenty of Jibbitz charms tied to the collection.
