Adobe is bringing Photoshop and more of its creative tools directly into ChatGPT, giving users the ability to run edits and design tasks through the chatbot.

The company confirmed that features from Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat are now integrated with ChatGPT. Users can ask the OpenAI chatbot to edit images, modify PDFs, or animate elements, with Adobe’s tools running the tasks behind the scenes.

Adobe says ChatGPT users can now make targeted Photoshop edits, remove or blur backgrounds, adjust exposure or brightness, and apply effects. ChatGPT will surface sliders to fine-tune intensity levels during edits.

With Express, users can request themed creatives, pull designs from Adobe’s library, animate elements, or edit templates. Acrobat support lets ChatGPT merge files, extract or edit text, or pull tables from PDFs.

If users want more control, ChatGPT will offer an option to continue the project inside Adobe’s apps.

The company says the features are rolling out globally. Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat are available on ChatGPT for desktop, web, and iOS. On Android, only Express is supported for now, with Photoshop and Acrobat coming soon.

The rollout follows a string of Adobe AI releases this year, including AI assistants for Express and Photoshop and a preview of its cross-app Project Moonlight tool.

ChatGPT first opened to third-party app integrations in October with partners including Canva, Spotify, Expedia, and Figma. As more creative tools join the platform, users may encounter overlapping functionality, such as image editing available through both Canva and Photoshop.
