Ariana Grande has addressed a viral moment from her Actors on Actors interview with Adam Sandler after viewers claimed she visibly reacted when he said the phrase “six or seven” during their conversation.

Grande and Sandler appeared together in Variety’s Actors on Actors series to discuss their films Wicked: For Good and Jay Kelly. The pair also talked about their shared interest in The Waterboy, the Wicked audition process, and teased the upcoming project Focker in-Law.

The moment in question occurs around the eight minute mark. While describing the emotional weight of Wicked’s final sequence, Sandler told Grande that she performed “six or seven shots where you had to be crying and feeling it.”

As he said it, Grande’s eyes widened and her expression tightened, which quickly became a point of speculation once the clip circulated across social media.
