FromSoftware / Tune & FairweatherPopular YouTuber Michael ‘VaatiVidya’ Samuels has announced his own Elden Ring lore book, set to span over 400 pages, after years of covering FromSoftware’s intricate lore.
If you’ve ever played a FromSoft game before, you know how complicated the Japanese studio’s storytelling can be. Characters aren’t always forthcoming with their backstories. Locations are mysterious unless you dig under the surface yourself. Oftentimes, the most information you can glean stems from small descriptions on pieces of equipment.
That’s why, for over a decade, VaatiVidya has made it his mission to comprehend the lore and scale it down into more digestible videos. His videos have become so popular, in fact, some boast over 10 million views a piece, with his channel just shy of hitting 750 million views in total.
While having made videos focusing on FromSoft games for 13 years now, Elden Ring certainly led to a spike in popularity. There’s a reason we list it as the very best game of all time.
With dozens of videos now covering the stories of The Lands Between, the YouTuber has announced his own book. This book is set to contain it all and serve as the definitive encapsulation of Elden Ring’s lore.

Lore Bound, the upcoming book, is described as VaatiVidya’s “YouTube channel in physical form.
“This book will bind together everything I’ve learned from Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, and Nightreign into one single volume,” the creator said in his November 18, 2025 announcement.

Tune & FairweatherWith new discoveries having been made in the years since many original videos were published, the YouTuber assured older scripts will be updated as part of the process. Furthermore “dozens” of new illustrations will be commissioned for the book as well.
All up, the collection of lore is set to span over 400 pages, though the exact count is yet to be determined as work continues.
Much like the videos themselves, references for key tidbits are referenced on the respective pages as well. Say, for instance, a particular character backstory came from a Rune, it’ll be listed right there in the book, in case you want to track down the item for yourself.
Pre-orders can be placed now through Tune & Fairweather, with deliveries expected to start in Q3 2026. A free sample chapter is available now, however, with Chapter 13: The Endless Night ready for an early glimpse.
