ActivisionCall of Duty Black Ops 7’s first major season is almost upon us, bringing tons of new maps, weapons, and so much more. But it’s not just Black Ops 7 that’s getting a major shakeup. Warzone is getting a brand new Season 01, complete with new equipment, Perks, Resurgence map, and so much more.
Warzone has been bringing brand new content for years now, despite this one being marked as its Season 01. Despite this, there are always new features Activision is looking to add, like brand new weapons and some highly called for gameplay adjustments.
So, now Warzone is officially being integrated into Black Ops 7, and a slew of new features and key changes are on the horizon. Here’s everything coming to Warzone in Season 01.
Release Date
As revealed by the Call of Duty blog, we know Warzone Season 01 is coming on December 4, meaning players don’t have too long to wait.
This is also the same time that the first Black Ops 7 season is releasing, so expect tons of new content for both games.
What’s coming in Warzone Season 01
Weapons
Players will now get access to all 30 Black Ops 7 launch weapons, as well as the additional armaments and access to weapon prestige and those prestige attachments.
On top of this, Weapon Build Sharing has finally been enabled for BO7 weapons.
Finally, though accessible in Warzone, Legacy Weapons will not support the following features:
- Weapon Prestige & Weapon Prestige Camos.
- Black Ops 7 Weapon and Warzone Mastery Camos.
- New Black Ops 7 Reticle Challenges.
- Access to Black Ops 7 Weapon Customization items.
- Build Sharing and Build Codes.
Gameplay adjustments
You’ll also see a ton of gameplay adjustments and updates:
- Movement: Tac Sprint is now part of the Sprinter Perk, and base movement speed has been increased. Players with the Mountaineer Perk can also perform the new Combat Roll.
- Loadout: Overkill is now a default advantage when you access your Loadout with no more Wildcards.
- Equipment: There will be an updated selection of Tacticals, Lethals, and in-match Field Upgrades, including the Needle Drone Lethal, Pinpoint Grenade Tactical, Phantom Signal Tactical, and Echo Unit Field Upgrade.
- Equipment Interactions: New equipment interactions have been introduced -Smoke Grenades now douse Molotov fire and Stim Shots now remove the effects of Flash and Concussion Grenades.
- Perks: The three Perk Slots have been restructured and updated, along with a new Adaptive Perk.
Operators
When Season 01 is released, you’ll be able to access and use every operator you’ve unlocked or owned across Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and now Black Ops 7. This includes skins and finishing moves.

On top of this, we’ll also be getting some brand new equipment:
- Tactical: Pinpoint Grenade (Ground Loot Only): Provides sustained reconnaissance for a short duration. When active, it deploys tracking darts at enemies entering its radius, marking their positions for you and your squad. Each pulse can tag multiple targets over time, but enemies can remove the dart.
- Tactical: Psych Grenade: Releases a disorienting red gas that can spawn phantom enemies, creating visual, audio, and minimap distortion within its radius.
- Tactical: Phantom Signal (Ground Loot Only): When deployed, it forces up to three nearby foes to emit distorted audio cues while briefly revealing their locations on the compass.
- Lethal: Needle Drone (Ground Loot Only): A compact, throwable mini-drone that detonates on impact. It can be remotely steered and manually triggered within a brief six-second control window.
- Field Upgrade: Echo Unit: Creates a lifelike decoy that mirrors your Operator’s appearance and stance.
Perks
Thanks to the blog, we know we’ll be seeing the following Perks in Season 01:
Perk 1:
- Scavenger: Improves Ammo and Resource acquisition.
- Veteran: Improves equipment resistance and Long-Range weapon handling.
- Mountaineer: Gain damage negation when falling.
- Cold-Blooded: Gain immunity to tracking equipment, targeting systems, and electronic interference.
- Grenadier: Improves explosive equipment and equipment handling.
Perk 2:
- Quick Fix: Improves armor handling and health regen.
- Alertness: Improves awareness.
- Reactive Armor: Improves armory recovery and defense.
- Bomb Squad: Gain explosive resistance and equipment negation.
- Sprinter: Improves Sprinting and movement.
Perk 3:
- Tempered: Improves armor.
- Adaptive: Improves explosive defense, movement, and handling.
- Tracker: Improves tracking and target acquisition.
- Survivor: Improves health regeneration, revives, and provides one-hit protection against ballistic weapons.
- Ghost: Improves stealth.
New Resurgence map: Haven’s Hollow
A brand new Resurgence map is also coming to the game. Haven’s Hollow brings a picturesque little town that may look familiar to some fans, as it’s the same location as the Shattered Veil Zombies map in Black Ops 6.
It has the following POIs:
- Mansion
- Pond
- Train Station
- Barn
- Research Center
- Main Street
- River Boat
- Coal Depot
- Lumbermill
Verdansk POIs
Haven’s Hollow isn’t the only map bringing something new, as Verdansk is also getting two new POIs upon launch:
- Signal Station: Contains three white spheres as a marker. Exploring this POI lets you access additional map intel.
- Factory: Found in Verdansk ’84. Players who explore this will find an intricate system filled with loot.
CODMAS Holiday event
Finally, given it’s December, expect the CODMAS holiday event to return, bringing limited-time activities, an exciting holiday heist, and a festival of chaos.
The three maps, Haven’s Hollow, Verdansk, and Rebirth Island, will also be decorated throughout.
