ActivisionWarzone’s snipers have always been extremely deadly in the right hands, but they’ve received a big blow to their effectiveness in the Season 1 update, as a buffed Perk will stop you from getting one-shot in the head.
Black Ops 7 integrates with Warzone on Thursday, December 4, bringing across all the latest CoD’s weapons, SBMM changes, the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map, and game-changing updates to Perks and Equipment.
Survivor receives major change in Warzone Season 1
Survivor has received one of the biggest changes, making it a direct counter to one-shot Sniper Rifles. “We’ve updated Survivor to provide one-hit protection against ballistic weapons while fully armored, which will protect players from being downed in a single shot by snipers,” confirmed the devs in an X post on December 1.
It was already a powerful Perk, letting you start to regenerate health quicker and be revived faster, but in Season 1, it’s a must-use. Since it’s been given such a big buff, it’s now in the Perk 3 slot with Tempered and Ghost.
ActivisionSnipers are so powerful because there’s simply no counter to them. If they land the shot, you’re going down, and there’s nothing you can do about it. This makes Survivor one of the best Perks in the game, as you’ll no longer be getting downed out of nowhere.
Also, Survivor isn’t the only Perk getting buffed in Season 1, with Bomb Squad granting protection against Killstreaks and Reactive Armor “triggering an EMP pulse when armor breaks.”
The devs said these are only “just a few” of the changes they’re making in the Season 1 update, so expect to see a lot more changes in the patch notes when they drop ahead of the update on December 4.
