ActivisionAn overpowered Assault Rifle is already dominating matches in Black Ops 7, and players are desperate to see it nerfed.
Black Ops 7 features 30 distinct weapons, all with unique stats and playstyles. But, as always, some are much stronger than others, and the early meta is starting to take shape.
But while there are a number of strong choices, there’s one in particular that has been terrorizing lobbies since launch — the M15 Mod 0. Despite being the first Assault Rifle unlocked in multiplayer, its high damage and very low recoil have made it the go-to pick, and barely a match goes by where at least one player isn’t using it.
It’s become so popular that players are already calling for it to be nerfed in a future update.
BO7 players call for big nerf to M15 Mod 0 Assault Rifle
Since Black Ops 7 launched on November 14, there have been plenty of posts on social media urging Treyarch to make some adjustments.
“Please nerf the M15 and the Dravec into the f*****g ground,” wrote one X user.
“M15 needs the biggest nerf possible. Make that the lvl 55 gun unlock as well,” added another.
It was a similar story over on Reddit, with ‘Braenology’ posting: “I know it’s the first AR in the game but holy f*** guys.”
Some replies argued that the only reason the M15 is such a common sight is because it’s the first AR, as players want to level it up all the way before moving on to other guns. However, others believe that it’s still too strong.
“Yeah but at the same time the gun has a really good ttk, good mobility and pretty much zero recoil,” said one reply. “You can’t lie that it’s not annoying as f**k to go against especially if using an SMG.”

Treyarch will be looking into weapon balancing throughout the year, so don’t be surprised to see the M15 Mod 0 catch a nerf soon, possibly in the Season 1 update.
