Credit: Esther Lin / Most Valuable PromotionsJake Paul has confirmed that he will, indeed, fight former world heavyweight champion ‘AJ’ Anthony Joshua in December, as he replaces Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. Here’s how to tune in.
Over the last few years, Jake Paul has looked to add wins over professional boxers to his boxing record. The ‘Problem Child’ has scored wins over Andre August, Ryan Bourland, Mike Tyson, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, bumping his record up to 12-1.
He was supposed to take on Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in December, which would have presented him with his most challenging test yet.
However, that fight was called off after Davis was accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a new lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend.
Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua announced
Jake has since found a replacement for Davis, though, in the form of former heavyweight king ‘AJ’ Anthony Joshua, and the pair will square off in Miami, Florida, on December 19.
“Yes, it’s real. JAKE PAUL vs ANTHONY JOSHUA will go head to head in a pro heavyweight fight LIVE only on Netflix. Friday December 19,” he announced on November 17.
Joshua, 36, has long been a target of Jake’s jibes. He is a former Olympic gold medalist and has held the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.
The Brit had been back in the title scene after a string of wins, including one over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. However, he suffered a knockout loss to ‘Dynamit’ Daniel Dubois in his last outing.
Where to watch Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua
Jake Paul’s boxing match against Anthony Joshua will be streamed live exclusively on Netflix. This means that you’ll need a Netflix subscription to tune in, but luckily, you won’t have to purchase the PPV separately. The fight comes with any viewer’s regular Netflix plan.

The two will meet for a pre-fight press conference on Friday, November 21 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.
There have been reports that each fighter will make around $75 million for the clash, which is sure to draw plenty of eyes for Netflix.
